I was reading another mom's forum last night for cloth diapering moms. One lady started a thread b/c her H didn't like dealing with a poopy CD, so he threw it out! $20 in the trash. She was steamed.

But other ladies chimed in and said how their husbands refused and/or rarely changed diapers.

Umm....hello!! It's 2009!

DH doesn't change diapers and it doesn't bother me. He just changed David's diaper for the first time a week or so ago. He will change Gabe's now that he's older, but he doesn't like to to baby diapers.

This is not a joke:

I think if it bothers you that he doesn't, it's a problem. But it works for some people like me, so who cares?!

Ugh. My friend's DH is the biggest @sshole. Every time he "babysits" their daughter he feels like he needs to be rewarded in some way.

I can't believe that. Some men are ridiculous. DH and my Dad were the first to change A's diaper in the hospital, I have pics of it.

tony is the diaper champ (he has a trophy to prove it). because of my c/s he changed the majority of the diapers the first few weeks. he likes it cause they play on changing table before and after the change.

I thank the lordy that my hubby started changing poopy diapers on day 1 and has never had issues with it. He even says "peeeeeee yoooou" all crazy and makes my baby laugh

MH actually mentioned this weekend that he hadn't changed K's diaper all day on Saturday. He seemed kind of bummed. Needless to say, he got the next one.

That's fine that you two have a system. I felt sorry for these ladies because it sounded like it was not a mutual compromise (you do X and I'll do Y). Rather, their husband simply refused to help with the diapers.

FI gag's at the smell of a poopy diaper (he's got a weak stomach). but he still changes it! seriously! wtf? why wouldnt you change your child's diaper?

We have friends who just had their 3rd daughter in January. While over there a few weeks ago my brother-in-law told the dad that he thought the baby had a dirty diaper. (The men had the kids while the wives ran to the store.) The dad started freaking out because he had never changed a diaper before (and he has 3 kids!!!). My brother-in-law ended up doing it for him. I'm sorry, but I found this completely ridiculous! My SIL told his wife she was crazy for putting up with it. My DH does plenty of diapers and helps in so many ways! I can't imagine!

This post reminded me that my brother hasn't changed a diaper yet lol I have to stick him with some dirty diapers next time.
