Did you see this baby tub on the today show

https://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/30499759/

There is also a video you can see a bunch of LO actually using the tub and not one of them was crying, I was amazed!  I think I want this tub.  The little girl splashing in the tub looks like she is really enjoying it.

I'm intrigued....although my girls hated to be swaddled, I can't imagine they would like this but still it is very interesting.

  • I love the idea but would have a hard time justifying $45 on a tub (especially when I bought my tub for $3 on Craigslist-but I'm really cheap).  My husband would like it- they sell it in Germany!

  • Not sure of how expensive it is but couldn't you just use a bucket? Wink
  • It just looks like a plain ole bucket to me.  Plus it looks like it would be hard to get at all the babies parts to be able to wash them good.

Ehhh....too gimmicky for me. It looks "squished" I mean, it might be good for like the first couple of months.....but my DS would have hated it by 5-6 months b/c he was very active.

Also, why not just use a bucket????? LOL!

  • I agree this seems very expensive for a tub...  I don't think I could justify it.  Not in this economy anyway...  As for the bucket thought, From what I read, a bucket is not safe because of the handle and it could tip over, this thing has a low center of gravity and skid proof bottom so it won't tip over.  I probably would not buy it, but the babies that were sitting in it really looked like they were enjoying it.
  • I saw this but was also wondering how you get to clean all their parts when they;re squished. Plus DS has a tendency to pee in the bathtub so....
  • Um yeah go to Home Depot and buy a bucket!  LOL

But I had trouble with our tub at the start because of the tight nooks and crannies of her skin.  So I don't see how you could get them clean in this with the rolly polly skin...

  • No matter how wonderful this might be (and it's pretty cute seeing all of those babies sitting in glorfied buckets), I wouldn't leave a baby unattended in it. Sooooo, I could use a bucket since I also would be there to stop the child from chewing on the side or from tipping over.  I'm thankful that DD LOVES her hand me down tub!  She loves splashing and it doesn't look like a baby can splash much in the expensive bucket.

  • I am VERY safety conscious, but I think I would try a bucket!  You're not going to step away from them anyway....

It is JUST like a bucket! I saw one at the store and mom and I LOAO about it!

  • 45$ for a bucket?!?  I'll stick to my 19$ fisher price tub ;)

I think this is GREAT! I need one! Bennett loves the bath no matter what, but I think this would make it so much easier to bathe him by myself. My DH and I usually do it together.

  • Honestly I don't see what is so great about it. ?My girls like to kick and splash and play. ?I don't see how they could do that in an overpriced bucket. ?They love their $5 foam bath mat. ?
