Trying to Get Pregnant

First Anovulatory Cycle-TMI

For those who had experienced an anovulatory cycle, is the color and flow of blood the same as a ovulatory cycle? Did you experience breast tenderness? I have light brown bleeding today with slight breast tenderness and I am wondering if this is normal. Thanks!

Re: First Anovulatory Cycle-TMI

  • I have regular cycles but I get light brown bleeding almost every cycle before the full effect of red flow hits me!

  • I don't have any answers for you, but I was just thinking about you earlier today, wondering if you had any O news yet.

Could you be gearing up to O still?  I mean, with the watery CM and the + OPK 2 days ago, is it possible that you're about to O?

Maybe you are spotting right now?  I see that you marked "light flow" on your chart.  Do you need a pad/tampon?  If it's so light that you don't need to use a pad or tampon, I would consider it spotting, especially since you described it as brown, and not red flow.

  • Well, if red bleeding hasn't started then you're not on day one of your next cycle yet.  Are you sure you are not just ovulating today?

  • I actually changed my status to light because I just wiped and there was brown blood and brown tissue. I def do not think I am ovulating.

Do you need a pad/tampon?  Honestly, I think if it's not red flow, it's not AF.

I did not expect anything this morning and when I used the restroom this afternoon, it was on my undies. I could have used a mini pad. I just checked and there is isn't anything. Maybe it is spotting. I will change it back. So confusing!

Ugh, sorry it's so frustrating.  Only time will tell, I guess.

Have you taken an OPK today?  Yesterday?

Don't give up yet.  There's still a chance you will O, imo. Until you see AF for sure (red flow, need a pad/tampon), there's still hope that it's not an anovulatory cycle.

  • The color my anovulatory cycles are brown-ish and not much flow. IT doesn't look like I'm on AF. I don't experience anything else.
