Woke up, snuggled with Joey. Then went to get him changed and discovered his duvet cover stunk like pee/poop/milk. ?!??! So stripped his bed, threw that in the wash and went to get him some milk. Discovered my "Just like two 32oz containers" of coffeemate had a leak in it. Only about 8oz was covering the top shelf of the fridge (and all of its contents) and was dripping down to the floor. YAY!
Cleaned that up --- decided to make coffee and discovered no filters left. Jimmy-rigged a paper towel to do its thing.
MIL came over so I could go open a checking/savings account locally (since mine are both in Springfield -- and yes, I know I'm not a "real" SAHM when I have someone to come watch my kids to do the tedious things!) Met her and the kids at the park for an afternoon picnic (with McDonalds of course) and came home about 2 hours later.
Hung out outside, finished some more laundry and just got done eating pizza --- and I'm drinking some rum punch now.
Did I mention I haven't even showered yet today!?!? YA-freaking-HOO!!! Did I also mention that yesterday, after leaving that place, I went to Target and got bins and with the exception of the outfit I wore yesterday, all of my "corporate" clothes are now in bins!
It's only the first day but it was a glorious one --- all in all. I'm just glad I don't have to write a review next month (for mid year) and even if I did, my kids can't fail me! HA!
Thanks for checking in on me --- I'm sure this was quite the novel. Rum punch kicking in = Jodi is more longwinded than usual (and also REALLY thinks she is her funniest friend)!
Re: Jodi! How was your first day of not working?
