I need to feel like I'm not the only mom doing this crazy stuff!! I work full time and take 2 classes at the local community college and I was just accepted into a Grad program. Every other day, I go directly to school after work and get home at 9pm. On the nights that I don't have school, I pick DS up from daycare, take care of the house, dinner, etc. Each night, I stay up until 11:30pm studying. Then I'm up by 5:30am or 6am to do it all over again. I have so many bags when I'm leaving in the morning--work-related satchel, school backpack, daycare stuff (bottles, spare clothes)
Today was the day that I forgot one of my lab books at home (I'm studying to be a Nurse), and I have a test today plus I was online applying for a student loan whenthe lender requested a copy of my SSN card--also at home. Aaarggh!! The sad thing is that I have a checklist posted on my front door and my garage door that I have to look at each day before I leave.
So, I've spent the morning studying my notes, applying for Grad loans, also writing a scholarship essay and my regular work. Woo-hoo!! I'm just glad that I remembered to bring my lunch and get dressed.
Who out there is juggling loads of different activities? How in the world do you do it?!?!
Re: Share your multi-tasking hell stories
sometimes.... i have to carry both girls and try to find my keys in my purse at the same time
lol sorry, i cant relate, but all i know is your post stressed me out and i hope you find some quiet, relaxing time soon
My quiet time is when I'm in the car driving from one place to the next--I'm serious. It's also the only time that I can catch up on phone calls with friends and family--I'm not a fan of talking on the cell and driving but it's either that or call people at midnight.
I know this won't last long--it's just a phase in my life, but for now....it's HELL!!!!
I had two kids in two years while in med school and working on the weekends. Now that I'm in my residency, my days are similar to yours. I keep telling myself that this craziness will all be worth it some day. You can do it!
My SIL did the EXACT thing! Wait a minute, are you my SIL? LOL. She's the one person who completely understands what I'm going through. Thanks for the support. I'm super impressed with what you've accomplished.
There was a regular on this board who had 5 kids, a full time job, and was in law school. I admired the heck out of her. I think she's on 12-24 now, or just not around anymore, but I don't know how she kept up with it all. Good luck to you!
