any HR types?

so my H had his two second interviews yesterday. At the end of the one that he really wants, the two mgrs left the room, came back with the HR lady and said they will contact him later this week about scheduling the third interview with the president for early next week. I don't want to get overexcited but I've never heard of 3rd interviews. Then again, I don't work in a corporate environment. Are 3rd interviews common for a couple of candidates? I'm excited for him (although means he wont' be here when I O next week).

Depends on the company and the position and who he is up against. I wouldn't say they are common, but certainly don't see terribly strange.

I think it would depend on the position. A normal position wouldn't interview with the president. It looks good for him!

it's a chemical company for him to be manager of chemical processing type group (I think. I should pay more attention to him!). The company is family run and probably medium sized with a couple of plants across Canada. His old boss works for the company so he has an inside guy that really likes him.

^ This! It's hard to tell, but since they are clearly doing another round, the fact he is getting one is a good sign, I think.

I would say that he is probably one of two if not the only candidate at this point, but they need the pres's rubber stamp on the hire.

probably not b/c it's 8 hours from here and I have TONS of work to do, not to mention things to work out before the big move. I'll probalby O anywhere between Monday and Thursday, so if he interviews on Monday, he'll come back here Tuesday (or later Monday) and we still may have a chance (and to do the IUI). Otherwise, it'll be a wasted cycle. Sucks, but I'll accept it if he gets a job.

usually they only bring 1 canidate to the pres (since he wouldn't have the time to waste actually interviewing). Its mainly just to get his seal of approval, and is generally more of a meet and great than a hard interview. Assuming it goes well, he will probably get an offer. At most if lower management was having a really hard time deciding they would bring 2, but usually the pres just wanted to take a look at the final canadiate. GL to your DH! Sorry about missed O time though.
