opinion on first bday gift?

which one might be better for a first birthday gift?  the trike comes with a handle on the back so we could steer it.

    I think they'd both be great gifts! On an aside, DD got the wagon for her birthday and LOVES it.

    DD got the wagon for her 1st birthday.  She loves it.  We have only used it a few times.  I plan on using it this summer even if its just in the yard.

    I would get the wagon. None of the kids dd's age, including her, can use the riding toy well enough to enjoy it now. I was planning on getting her one of those for her second birthday, when she can handle it better. I think a wagon is better for bday # 1.
