Who sent back all their Carter's things?

I heard that some people are sending back the affected clothing AND the things that are not recalled. I would hate to be confronted on why I sent other stuff too...I'm not a good liar but I don't need the baby stuff anymore and would really just use the money for more clothes for the kids. What "other" things did you send, Did ?Carter's question it ?and what did you say?

Re: Who sent back all their Carter's things?

  • I only sent back my items that had the bad labels.  I did not realize others were sending back more than that.

  • I just pulled out my stuff with the bad labels, havent sent them yet, but didnt plan on sending anything else.
  • I see Carter's posts all the time, but not quite sure what everyone is sending back.  We have a TON of Carter's stuff.  What are all of the "bad labels" you are referring to, what are people sending back?

  • I'm just sending back the affected tags...I do have a lot of stuff though.
  • I sent back the clothing that was specified on the website and in an email from the company. I recieved over $200 back!
  • I called the other day and I am waiting on my envelope to mail the stuff back but I am just sending back the clothing specified on their website.
  • I sent back anything that was a coordinating item:  i.e. a shirt that came with overalls, the shirt had the bad tag, so they both went back. They didn't question it.

  • I sent back everything that was my DS' past, present, and future clothing, tags on, stains, and all, including the "fall '07" bad tag and every other style of tag that was in the boy's clothes unless it was a sewn-in tag.  I figured Carter's owed it to me to take back everything of his after he had that reaction that burned his skin off.  I also sent back everything that was the girls' that had the "fall '07" tag but kept the girls clothes that did not have the "fall '07" tag.  When I spoke with Certer's after my DS had the reaction, they specifically told me to send back all of our clothes with a "fall '07" tag and anything else we weren't comfortable keeping.  Which is what I did.

I am now thinking that I should have sent back EVERYTHING I had that was made by Carter's.  After DS' rash/wound healed up, we started putting him into other companies' tagless clothing (TCP, Circo, etc.) again, once in a while, just to see if he could tolerate it.  He always did alright.  This past weekend, with the heatwave we had, the poor kids had no summer clothes to wear so I pulled out all of our oldest's clothes to find a couple of onesies.  Not thinking, I put DS into one of the onesies that was a Carter's.  He did not react so I went with it.  On Sunday, when we brought them outside to play, I lathered them all up with the SPF, including the back of DS' neck.  Within 10 minutes he had a red mark that mirrored the Carter's tagless imprint on the onesie.  Whatever was in the sunscreen that made the tag react to his skin, I don't know...  But I know for sure I won't be putting DS back into any Carter's clothes any time soon.
