  • I guess this sort of counts, DH is Chief of Product Development for a software company.  I was a SAHM for the first 4 mo but I went back part time (2 days/wk) because full time SAHM was not for me.  I consider the two days I go into work my 'days off'!

  • My husband is a sales development manager for an insurance company.  That is the technical term, but really I think he just screws around on the internet, goes out to lunch, and plays ping pong all day.  But whatever, he makes enough money so that I can stay home so it's fine with me.

I really think it is my frugalness that really helps me SAH.  I make an effort to save money any where possible.

  • DH works a lot (usually 12-16 hr days for 3 days, then he is off for 3 days, but usually gets called in on one of those days)...it's tough but I just have to keep reminding myself that in this economy, what we have is a luxury! ?

  • DH works in IT but it's my own money that allows me to SAH.  It's weird when people always make comments like "Oh, DH must be doing very well" or "You're lucky he let's you stay home!".   We got a lot of those from extended family members.

  • DH is a teacher and sadly gets paid terribly for teaching kindergartners.  I get to stay home bc I used to sell new construction homes before the market tanked and saved every penny once we found out I was pregnant.  My SAH is financed by my savings...and worth every penny :-)
