My twins were born at 36 weeks 5 days (so technically preemies, but just by a few days) and weighed 5lbs 4 oz and 5 lbs 5 oz. Both babies have had very, very slow weight gain and we have been stuck at the bottom of the growth chart (never higher than 3rd%) forever.
So today I went to the GI for DS's 9 month weight check. He was 15lbs 4 oz last week at the pedi, which put him in the 1%. Today at the GI he was 15lbs 9oz. The GI said that was the 25-50% on the preemie chart, so he isn't concerned.
Preemie chart? huh? This is the 1st I have ever heard of that. Where can I find a preemie chart (I'm curious what my much smaller DD would be now). I tried just adjusting DS's age to 8 months on the regular chart, but he still wouldn't even be close to 25%. Am I missing something?
Re: XP--preemie growth chart?
I've never heard of a "preemie chart" but my pedi always charts actual vs adjusted. I always check out this percentile chart

and it gives me the same numbers my pedi does. But

Anyway, the last part I was saying was that when I plugged in your DS's adjusted age, it was still only the 2nd percentile...
That's what I was getting on my charts, so I'm completely confused. I wonder what chart the GI is using?
Oh well, I guess what matters is that he is gaining weight (albeit slowly). I should try not to focus on the %.
Thanks for your help!
I Googled... and this link appears as though it might be helpful..

I can't get to it though from work... so I really have no idea. Maybe it will help.
