Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Bathing suits? Do you buy them bigger?

I don't know what size to get her, she is in 18-24 months now and is super tall and on the thin side. I don't know if I should stick with 18-24 months. Or go up to 2T. Trying to keep in mind diaper butt.

  • I bought DD the same size bathing suit as her clothes - 18-24 month.  She is also fairly tall.  It fits her just fine.  I think you'll find with going up a size bigger..especially to 2T that the suit will be way too long on her.

  • I know w/Harm I buy the same as his clothes.  Otherwise it falls off as he is kicking.

  • DD wears 18-24 in most things, and I got her an 18-24 tankini from The Children's Place (although she fits in a lot of 18mos stuff from there). I've noticed that the bottoms on the 2T suits look smaller than the 18-24 at most stores (this would only matter if you are looking at 2-piece suits). I don't know if they are assuming they are potty trained if they are in a 2T, but thats crazy if they are!
