OOP IVF - Those who had to save for it...

...how long did it take you to save??  We have been saving since our last failed IUI in Feb - we have about $ 9,000 saved so far but we are still so far away from our goal of $ 16,000.  I feel like this is taking forever.  Please tell me I am not alone.

    It does take awhile....we were saving for it during our first 2 IVF cycles, so it was about a 7 month time period to save for it. We had to save $20k for our 3rd cycle. Ugh!!!

    Good luck - you are over halfway there!!!! That is a huge milestone! :)

    Have you checked into any donated meds? That might help on your expenses.

    The RE told me he will probably be able to get most of my drugs for me - but probably is not 100% - I just want to make sure I have all the money we need before we start doing this - that way if there is money left over we can save it for baby furniture - LOL.

    My goal is to start cycling for IVF in Oct. - so that will give us 5 more months to come up with the money - I hope we can do it.  IF just sucks.
