Crap..... I don't want to be at work today

I didn't sleep last night, and I may ask the dr for Ambien (thanks for the suggestion).  I did come into work today but am only going to be here until 1:00 and then off to the dr. 

As soon as I got here I realized that I had screwed up something last week, something I haven't done since I started this job a year ago.  I can fix it, but it costs the company money and credibility, and I don't want to seem like I can't handle my job during this added stress.   Also, I really don't feel like getting my but chewed.   Crap.

  • Oh jeesh. You just need a little more stress. Take a deep breath and understand that no one expects perfection from you. You are going through a difficult time that most of us will never have to go through and wouldn't even begin to know how we would handle ourselves. I'm sure your employers will be mindful of this as they review the work situation. Just take a deep breath, and fix the problem...nothing else to be done about it at this point. Good luck at your appointment today. I suggest asking your dr if perhaps you can use a digital audio recorder for the appointment so that you can listen to it a few times later when your head isn't swimming.

  • Thank God I work in an office by myself and everyone can't see me cry my eyes out today.  This is so much worse than yesterday.  I just want to go home.  Crying

  • Shelley, better that your at work trying to take your mind off things than at home.  you may want to write a list of things you want to ask so you don't forget.  Good luck hun, let us know how it goes!
  • :(  We all make mistakes - you're only human. Try not to be so hard on yourself.

    Ask your Dr. about Ambien or something else to help you sleep.

  • You won't get this before you go but I just wanted to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    As far as work, we have all made mistakes but getting yourself more upset is not helping your well being. You are so sleep deprived that it probably seems a whole lot worse than it is.

    I love the idea of the recorder!
