Meeee! I'm still not dilated, but the head is moving down and the cervix is continuing to soften. All good things, but after all those damn contractions last week, I really wanted to hear something more.

I am still here. I am lucky enough to have a scheduled induction on May 7....we are almost there.

Still here too but hopefully not for another week. I have another growth ultrasound Thursday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will go ahead and schedule a C-Section. At 34 weeks he was in the 90th percentile and just keeps growing so doctor said she won't let me have a vaginal birth with a predicted weight over nine pounds.

I am just 37wks today but I haven't had any internals yet so who knows if I have made any progress of any kind yet?? I am waiting for Wednesday to come and see what the dr says....although I'm not getting myhopes up for anything!

Still here! I have a scheduled induction for next Thurs if he doesn't come on his own...He has been measuring big so she wants to take him a few days early.?

I am here - but I am a newbie so you probably don't know me!

I think I will be for awhile - saw the doctor and I am still at 1 cm with very little thinning, and long cervix. Baby is measuring at 9 pounds last week at my ultrasound so I am thinking I might end up with a c-section

i'm here... have an appt tomorrow and have my first internal. ?also, my amniotic fluid is low and they have been monitoring it twice a week. ?it's just a matter of time for me... good luck everyone.?

Ladies - Be cautious of what those MD's tell you about babies being too big. I've had way too many girlfriends schedule C/S or be induced because of a baby being "too big". One was supposed to be 9lbs and he was only 6lbs. They can't tell with any certainty what's going on in there. Let nature take its course. Those little guys will tell you when they're cooked. A due date is just an estimate!

Still here. I have my fingers crossed for the upcoming full moon. I was also told today that significant pressure changes in the weather can trigger labor which is unfortunately nothing new in Chicago.

and how do you know that thats the only reason they are getting induced or c/s?

there are plenty of reasons besides a potentially large baby.
