My two cats just came home after an extended (7 month) vacation at my parents' house.
Do you keep your baby's door open if you have a cat? I normally sleep with my door and theirs open. But now I'm worried about the cats jumping in their cribs. Should I close their door and just use my monitor?
Re: anyone have cats?
I don't have cats, but just wanted to say that when I first glanced at the title of your post, I though it said "anyone have crabs?". It made me laugh and wanted to share
I don't keep his door open. It has been kind of hot in his room, and the cat really has NEVER jumped in his crib, but I still like to keep it shut. I have a temp. thing in his room, and as long as it's a decent temp, I shut the door. The sitter during the week keeps it cracked. The cat really stays out of his room.
We have two very spoiled, sweet kitties.
We leave the door open. And other than a meow coming from the room, there's no problem.
We have 3, but only 1 is capable of jumping in the crib. ?We leave our door open all the time, and shut DD's door when she's sleeping. ?They have full access to it otherwise.
ETA: ? We use a monitor when she's sleeping.
We have two cats and we leave DS's door open during the day to let air circulate, but close it when he's sleeping. Neither of our cats have jumped into his crib (to my knowledge), but they tend to get rowdy, and I'd hate for them to decide to roll around and "fight" in the middle of his room at 3 am.
The other reason we keep his door closed is because DS is a really light sleeper. His door needs to be closed and his is fan on for white noise.
I have two and keep the door closed.
They are so nosy and annoying that I have no doubt that they would jump in her crib, scare the hell out of her, then get scared themselves and run out knocking things over and thus set human-cat relations back several years.?
