How early did you have one and why?

I called the Dr. yesterday because I had a tiny bit of pink spotting after I went pee (It stopped about 2 hrs later and hasn't been back). They told me they would make an appt. for an ultrasound. So I have one next Tuesday and I'll be 7 weeks 6 days. I'm totally nervous about it.

I had one at 5 weeks, just because I hadn't had a period in 70 days and I didn't know I was pregnant (many pregnancy tests came back negative). I think they just want to make sure I wasn't further along.

I had one at 6 wks & 7 wks 4 days - both for bleeding/spotting. We were able to see the h/b both times. At the 7 wk4days u/s we could see the outline of the baby - it looked like an alien with a tail.

I had one at 5w0d and 6w1d because of prior mc's and needing to know if the pg was viable so they could put me on medication for my bloodclotting disorder.

7w6d isn't bad... as long as ur dates are accurate u might get to see some features of the baby, like the eye spots arms ect. If dates are off it may look more like a jelly bean. but that isn't real early. I had a tech do a quick scan at 5 and change when i was gettng really bad pain at my right ovary.... r/o ectopic, and she could get a good visual of the sac and yoke.

Either way good luck and relax i had spotting when i turn 8 weeks and for me everything is A - OK.

I was charting so I'm pretty sure (within 2 days) of when I Od. I've had no cramping or anything, just a little pink when I peed. I've had none since the incident.

I had one at 8 weeks 5 days... basically because I had no idea how far along I was. Actually, my office normally does 2 total... once around 8 weeks and the other around 20 weeks... so I got lucky that we were as far along as we were... otherwise I'd have had to come back and pay OOP for another.

I had one at 7w4d for dating...I measured 7w2d...and I saw a little kidney bean and a big heart beating!! My ob isn't changing my edd though b/c we were only off by 2 days from my lmp

i had one at 4w cuz i hadnt had a period since january so they thought i was 11w but it was too early to see nething.

i had another one at 5w 5d just to be sure of how far along i was cuz the first one was so early. that one we saw our little lima bean with a heart beat!

i just had another one on friday 9w (baby measured at 10w 0days) but every thing looks normal and baby was dancing away! we could see two arms and two legs, also could see where the ears were forming and the eyes nose and mouth. very cute and very emotional! Big Smile

and i have another one on the 5th of may for the first trimester screening!

so enjoy the opportunity to see your baby it is amazing i wish you GL and try to relax spotting can be normal! expecially since yours came with no cramping and has stopped!!

I had an u/s at 6w1day cause I had a m/c earlier. I had another u/s at 9w cause it was too early to use a doppler. I had a third u/s yesterday cause my doctor's office was slow and I was the last patient. I wouldn't be nervous about having an ultrasound early. The doc probably just wants to check in on everything, and you'll get to see the baby and hear the hb early! I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress about it.

I had one done yesterday at 6w4d and it was awesome. I was a little nervous as well but it was totally fine. It's wasn't that uncomfortable and when your looking at your lil one on the screen, you forget everything else. I saw a little heart beat as well.

I had one done at 5w5d. It was done for dating purposes and it was covered by my insurance since it was ordered by the doctor.

I had one at 11 weeks(the baby was actually measuring 6 days ahead though) because I had some pink spotting and cramping, otherwise I would have had to wait till 20 weeks.

I had my first u/s on Monday (7w2d). I have a history of m/c's so they always see me for an early u/s.

I had one at 6 1/2 weeks, due to 4 weeks of spotting AND some weird cramping (not at the same time.) We heard a healthy hearbeat and saw that nothing was wrong! Spotting is totally normal, as long as it's not heavy/chunky, etc. It will stop after awhile. Your ultrasound will be wonderful!! No worries.

I had a bit of spotting, and my beta blood numbers were increasing (in the 20000's) but not doubling. So they had me have an early ultrasound, which I had it done at 8w4d. Everything was all good
