The answer should be obvious, but I don't get it

I'm using my first BG 3.0 today. The insert folds over on the end and snaps. Why? Am I supposed to snap it to something? I just stuffed the whole thing in the pocket.

  • the snap settings on the insert correspond to the snaps on the diaper.  Does that make sense?

  • I believe the snaps are to snap is down so it's Smaller for when you have the bg at a smaller setting

  • So if DD was a newborn, I need to make the insert smaller to fit in the diaper, thus using the snaps. Since she's bigger, I don't really HAVE to snap it. Right?

^^ This. If you're using the diaper at the highest setting then you don't need the snap on the insert snapped but if you've got the rise snapped down so the diaper is smaller then you need to snap down the insert so that it fits in the smaller sized diaper.

  • If you have the outer part on the smallest setting you snap the two farthest snaps together in the insert.

If it's on the medium setting, you snap the middle and the end one together.

If it's on the large setting, no snapping at all.
