Introducing...... (more photos added on page 2)
Our new son, Holden. Sorry for the radio silence. We have been at the hospital since 6am. Just left for a bit to freshen up and will head back in a bit to say goodnight to him and the BM. All papers are signed and he is officially ours. (well, as official as can be until finalization is done.)
Everything went absolutely perfect today. We can't believe that after everything, we had such a perfect adoption and SON! We are still in shock. We have lots of better pics but haven't had time to upload the stuff from today. This picture was about 30 minutes after birth.
We had a wonderful and emotional day today. Spent all day with our son and with the BM. She helped teach me how to do everything and it was just amazing. I spent probably half of the day crying. Every emotion from the past year came out all at once.
He will be discharged tomorrow morning and we will bring him back to the hotel and start waiting on ICPC. ?I'm so excited to bring him home because this has been very bittersweet. As happy as we are to be parents, I'm also grieving with the BM and I'm ready to just enjoy being mommy.
I can honestly say that two months ago, we came so close to giving up. I had completely lost faith in the adoption system. I'm amazed at what can happen when we decided to completely surrender and just have faith. We were blessed with an absolutely amazing agency and found the perfect BM for us. I can't believe. I'm delirious and in shock.

Holden is beautiful. I'm so glad everything went smoothly. I know what you mean about giving up. We were in the same situation, but decided to tough it out, and we were so lucky to have found Ben.
I can't wait to see more pictures. I know you are looking forward to showing him off to family and friends, and the hotel might seem like a bummer, but enjoy the time with just you, DH,and Holden. I know we bonded incredibly with Ben since it was just us for 10 days.

I have to say, I am a lurker over here, but I must have checked for an update at least three dozen times this afternoon, just hoping and praying that things would go well for you all. My heart melted before I even opened up your post. Holden is simply perfect and I adore the name - congratulations! I hope the rest of your journey goes well and you can bring the little one home to meet your family soon.
