Last month on clomid, I had terrible lower stomach pains. I figured it was due to clomid, but the Dr still had me come in to do an u/s. She told me before I took this round of clomid, if I had the same pain, to call and let them know.
I've been having the pain again (it hurts to bend over), so I called and they just called me back and the nurse was like, um yes, I am calling in regards to your message and says, you are fine and don't need to come in. Just take tylenol and take it easy. I said, I know I'm fine, the Dr told me to call if I had the pains again this time around. And I'm thinking when you're on clomid aren't you supposed to be monitored by the Dr with an u/s? She then says don't forget timed intercourse...REALLY?? you're kidding. I'm like ok, thank you for the call back. I think if your going to be a nurse at a OB's office you need to be a little more understanding.
Re: Don't you hate when the Dr's office makes you feel dumb
We must go to the same dr! LOL.... I would be more proactive, call again and get some answers, dont let the nurse blow you off like that. What happened with me is the number one reason you should ask more questions! Be your own advocate as many of the girls on the board have told me...
And yes I hate it when they make you feel like you are DUMB!
Hahahaha, you should have answered with a "you mean I have to have sex to get pregnant...really?!?"
I agree though. The nurses in my office have to ask the doctor for everything. If its not height or weight, its beyond their capability.
ummm, ok so basically she wasted your time. that call did nothing to help you. that sucks, sorry.
FWIW i was not monitored on clomid. maybe i have a bad dr too?
Hey Beth,
I'm sorry she was such a dope toyou. I would call back and tell them you wantt o speak to the Dr. That's what I would do when the nurses weren't really answering my questions.
Let me know what happens.
