Hi, I'm sure this has been asked a million times. I've been searching with no luck though.  I'm just wondering if anyone has had spotting and what they did about it. The friday night it happened after sex and stopped the next morning.  I know that can happen so I wasn't too worried.  Just now I went to the bathroom, though, and had what looked like bloody egg-white type cm (kinda gross).  It was like a darker red.  I'm going to call the dr in the morning, but I'm getting worried. This never happened when I was pregnant with DS.  I'm not having cramps so thats kind of reassuring. Thanks for any insights :)

    Call your doc.  Not to worry you, but it could be something, or it could be fine.

    good luck, hopefully everything is fine. no cramps are a good sign, and hopefully the dr will get you in for an u/s to check things out.  i had so much spotting and bleeding in the 1st tri, and the baby is looking good and measuring perfect for his/her age.

    No cramps is a good sign.  Keep checking and if it gets any worse go to the ER instead of waiting for the morning.  I had all shades of red and brown from weeks 5-7 and I've been spotting off and on constantly.  This can be totally normal.  Just take it easy, think positive and be vigilant.

    I had brown spotting from weeks 5 to 7. I also had cramping. Everything turned out fine though(: try and relax! Call you dr. ?Googling this just gave me major anxiety.

    thanks so much for your responses.  It seems to have stopped again but I called anyway. They don't seem concerned so that makes me feel better.  I go to the dr on the 5th.  They said not to worry unless it gets worse. I guess its more common than I thought. thanks again :)
