Any home schoolers

I am starting to seriously look into things for my daughter. Ideally I want to home school her until she is about 10. I have a lot of traditional teacher material but I am kind of interested in Enki and also not sure how this is going to work out with younger kids/babies in the home for distraction.

Re: Any home schoolers

  • Not yet but we plan on it depending on the personality of our kids.  In the pacific northwest, that automatically makes you wierd, but oh well!  I'd head to google.  There are tons of homeschooling blogs and resources out there.  Also Seattle public schools has a home schooler's school over by Northgate.  I know a few of the teachers who work there.  It provides resources and classes to help supplement for parents of homeschoolers.

I posted about these before. I got together with a group of moms and we made these. They are made so the little one can get to the activity and do the activity by themselves. So far, they have been a lifesaver for waiting at the doctors office and long car rides. I have only gone through 5 of them at the moment because DD is still young.

  • I saw the site yesterday. It looks interesting, I am just not sure about them because my son would likely bother her while she works and I am not sure if it is worth my $ at this time (given other factors.)
