Can you do me a favor- and let me know the reviews of the Recaro Signo carseat, Combi Coccoro carseat, Maxi Cosi Priori carseat and the Peg Aria stroller?
I have the 7th edition and don't really want to buy the newer one to just get these reviews.
Thanks much! And I'll answer any questions you've got in return- I've got a 6.5 month old with 2 teeth (woo hoo)! ![]()
Re: Anyone have Baby Bargains 8th edition?
Recaro Signo carseat: A- rating; Pros: Similar to the Como, but adds infinite harness adjustment and additional head support. Side impact protection. Cons: Pricey.
Combi Coccoro carseat: Rating: not yet; Thanks so its small base size, Combi is suggesting this seat as a solution for parents who need to fit 3 car seats across the backseat. Top hraness slot will be 15"... will have built-in lock off clips...come in bright colors...could give Britax Roundabout a run for its money.
Maxi Cosi Priori carseat: give a min. to find it
Peg Aria stroller: Peg overall gets a B rating; This year's Aria OH features a one-hand fold, larger canopy that rachets and adjustable cup holder. It used to be made in China, with disasterous restuls, but production has switched back to Italy. It doesn't say anything else specifically about the Aria.
Hth!
First, I apologize for my awful typos in the first post!
Maxi Cosi Priori carseat: A- rating; Pros: 5 harness slots, padded buckle pads, EPP foam, upfront harness adjustment. Cons: Only works up to 40 lbs. Bottom line: The Maxi Cosi is a decent alternative to the Britax Roundabout (both work to the same 40 lb. limit) but the Priori is $20 less.
And question for you: What were the top 5 baby things you couldn't live without for your LO's 1st 6 mos?
1st 6 months, hmmmm- I'm listing seven things - - -
(1) Playmat- we have the Tiny Gymini one- I could set him down and he would play with it by himself and I could go make coffee, eat breakfast, etc.

(2) Sophie the Giraffe. Once he started teething, this was absolutely his favorite chew toy- it was easy for him to pick up and lots of stuff to chew on (feet, head, ears, etc.). Pricey- but if your baby likes it, absolutely worth every single penny.

(3) Snap n Go stroller. We have a nice heavy-duty stroller (Teutonia- highly recommend) but for the first few weeks, I just didn't want to lift it in and out of the trunk. Now, I love it for quick shopping trips- it manuevers stores much better because of its small footprint.
(4) Stick-ons for monthly pics. I really regret not getting these- you can just stick them on a regular white onesie and take your baby's monthly picture.

(5) "Baby crack" machine. It is truly baby crack. And if your baby is a noisy sleeper, the white noise can help you sleep as well.

(6) Itzbeen timer. This was my best friend during the first few months- I really only used it to time between feedings- but it was so helpful.
(7) Cloth diapers- used them as burp cloths. Super cheap and the best burp cloths out there.
