Hi,
A friend of our family (Abby) was told she lost her baby. I don't have all the details on how she found out but my sister (her boss) just called me because Abby can't get in touch with her doctor and my sis wanted to know what to do to help her. I had a natural m/c last January and I remember being told to go to the ER if I had bleeding that soaked a pad in less than an hour or extreme pain otherwise I could stay home. I told my sister to tell her that and to have her make sure she sees a doctor ASAP. I just got nervous that I may have missed something that she needs to know right now. Am I missing anything else?
I feel so bad for this girl right now. I wish I could hug her. Going through a m/c was one of the most devastating events of my life and it doesn't seem like she has good health care or any support to help her except for my sister, who for lack of a better term is clueless about this stuff
Re: help - friend is m/c when to go to ER?
Your advice is spot on. I'm sorry to hear that she can't get ahold of her MD. Anyone on call?
My clinic told me the same - soaking a pad in less than an hour = ER.
Thanks!
