What's the secret?

How do you get out orange baby food on clothes?  Anyone have any ideas that actually work?  I've tried spraying them with Shout,  I've tried soaking them in OxyClean,  I've tried rubbing the detergent right on the stain and letting it sit before washing.  GAH.  Nothing is working!

Someone tell me what the secret is...

  • oxyclean soak works for us, but I've soaked as long as 24 hours before.

fels naptha laundry bar. you can get it at kroger's and other grocery stores that aren't walmart or target, smaller grocery stores usually carry it in the laundry aisle.
  • I SOAK affected area with LA's totally awesome stain remover spray.  Let it sit for about 10 minutes (or longer) and then throw in washer machine.  But I spray it as soon as it happens and sometimes let it sit until I have to do the laundry which is only once a week.

I got it at the Dollar Tree store by us. They have 2 kinds.  A white bottle and a blue bottle. I use the blue bottle.

  • thanks ladies!
  • I spray the area as soon as it happens and let it sit. ?Then I scrub it out.
  • oxyclean and soak in white vinegar. then really hot water rinse just on the stain. took out orange stuff as well as the sit-in blueberry stain. (i've now learned not to give blueberry as finger food for day care...)
  • I spray it down with spray n wash when I change her out of her daytime clothes and then toss it in the laundry bin.  Sometimes it doesn't get washed for several days.  But so far the stains have been coming out.
