Totally got thrown off of my game this weekend.

I had not had the pleasure of being assaulted for belly rubs by strangers until yesterday. Maybe it's because I give death stares to anyone who invades my personal space, or I just naturally look like a b*tch.

Anyway, I go to a catholic college. I am not religious at all, it just happened to be one of the few schools in my area that offered the major I wanted. Yesterday, there was a convention of about 100 nuns there. Class ended and I went to use the bathroom before my hour drive home, and there were 9 little old ladies in habits in line ahead of me. Every single one. of them came up to me to touch my stomach and offer some kind of a blessing.  

I just stood there like a dear in the headlights with a smile frozen onto my face. Even *I* won't curse or glare at a nun, lol.

But seriously, I don't know how anyone else deals with strangers touching them. The whole time they were doing it, I was thinking of how badly I wanted to break someone's arm. If it hadn't been a group of nuns, I might have followed through with my thoughts.

    I've only had 2 stranger attempts so far, and I've sort of cut them off by putting my hands on my belly so they just patted my hands.  With the nuns, though, I think I would have done the same as you!  I went to Catholic school for many years, and I don't dare mess with nuns.  I would have been frozen in fear!

    I haven't had any strangers touch the belly (yet?) but I plan to reach out and touch theirs right back if anyone does touch me.  Being pregnant (as we all know) DOES NOT give anyone the right to touch me!

    I work in a bar and my belly has sort of become free territory for all the customers and coworker.  It's the ONLY place I allow strangers to touch my belly. Most of the customers are like friends/family and I can't tell them no. I would be scared to death of a nun though.

    Good call on not assaulting the nuns. :)

    I would have been p!ssed too- and probably would have done the same thing you did.

    I don't actually mind belly rubbing- unless it's done by someone totally creepy. I do appreciate if they ask first though. I don't get how normal everyday politeness goes out the window as soon as someone sees a pregnant woman. Weird.?
