What is fastest route to Destin

with the most time on interstate.  Just wondering if anyone is an expert on here.  Smile  TIA.

    We leave tomorrow for Destin! My parents have a house there and we go all the time and there is no one way that has the majority of the time on the interstate, unfortunately. We have found, after going every possible way, that through Montgomery is faster than through Phenix City and Dothan.

    Are you going to Destin or Ft Walton? Where are you staying??

    We are going to Waterscape at fort walton actually.  :-)  I know that the last half of the drive pretty much whatever way you go is state roads.  I have been before, in a variety of routes, but can't remember for the life of me the fastest....though I am pretty sure it was indeed the Montgomery route.    I am so excited!

    DH's parents have a condo there so we go a few times during the year.   We go down 85, on to Columbus, Phoenix City, through Eufala, Dothan, then down to I-10 and over to the Defuniak Springs exit of I-10 and head straight to Valparaiso/Destin from there. It takes us about 6 hrs from Gwinnett.

    We just got back. We take 85 to Montgomery, then take 65 to 331 and go straight down. You can also stay on 65 for a long time and then cut across from there, but we always do 331.
