Enfamil Next step question

Did you just switch to Next step after 9 months or did you ask your pedi first?

    We use Good Start and we changed to the next step per Dr's advice.  It was the same price with more iron and calcium.  DS was such a mess when we switched.  Apparently iron can bother some little bellies.  That was by far the scariest night of my life.  DS was in so much pain from cramps and gas. The next day we switched back to the stage 1 which is good to 12+ months.

    Our pedi said there's no need to switch to the 9mo+ formula. We use Similac and will not be buying "go and grow."

    We asked our pedi at his 9 mo. appt. She said it didn't really matter one way or the other, but the Next Step IS cheaper, so we switched. He had absolutely no issues switching to it from the reg. Enfamil Lipil.
