Newbie with a really faint postive.....

in 1st Trimester

wanted to introduce myself. This will be the first baby for both of us, first grand child on my family's side, not the first for DH's side.

I hope to be with you guys from now on out. I am only 10DPO, but I have a really faint positive test, so I am hoping I can get excited!!!!!!

I am going to go and read some old posts so I can see how this board works!

    Congrats and welcome to the board! The best peice of advise I can give you is to make sure you check back a couple pages before posting a question. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy.

    hey adams......I did! It is so faint, but a positive is a positive, right?

    I didn;t want to buy a digital because I have a ton of the regulars, so I will just retest some time this week to be sure it is darker. Then, call my doc!

    So great to see a familiar face on here!

    I've known people who never got a dark positive result but had healthy pregnancies.  I just wanted to let you know that in case your line never gets very dark.

    My sister's first positive test had a very faint line... to the point where she took a pic and sent it to me begging for a second opinion. It was barely there but she was definitely pregnant.

    So... congrats!!

    I had a faint positive for both my pregnancies!  If it shows up then it is a positive.  It will get darker as the days go on! Congratulations, and welcome Big Smile

    I had a really faint positive too! I had to go buy the word one just for my peice of mind even though everyone told me I was pregnant. They were right.

    My hubby and I took six tests before we finally believed it. ?:) ?About three were very faint as well, but as many mentioned above even a faint line means you're pregnant. ?Try taking it first thing in the morning - that when the pregnancy hormone is most prominent in your urine and you should get a darker line to put your mind at ease. ?Good luck!

    Hi - I test at 10 DPO and it ws so light my DH said there was nothing there but, i knew there was after all these months of testing.  Today at 13 DPO I finally got a dark line.  GL!!!
    10/17/2009 - Our Miracle came 10 weeks early. IF,2 MC and 1 Preemie we have our miracle.. Baby Hope 10 weeks 5days was taken from us on Dec 18, 2007. Forever with us and Forever missed. Triplets Lost baby A @ weeks, Lost Baby B at 6 weeks and lost baby Abigail at 14 weeks when she was born to little for this life..... Forever with us ....

    A line is a line... the darkness of the line has nothing to do with "how pregnant" you are... some tests just don't get very dark... it's something with the chemicals in the test.

    i had the same result...a very feint positive. i researched it and it basically means an early pregnancy but i also read that its very very unlikely to get a false positive. congrats and good luck!

    Congrats and welcome. ?I got a very faint positive on 10 DPO back on Veteran's Day last year and now I am just about 27 weeks pregnant and entering my 3rd trimester tomorrow. ?A line is a line and you are definitely pregnant, because by 16 DPO my line was so dark that it was darker than the control line. ?Congrats :)

    Congratulations Rolos_girl!  I took three PT's in the matter of 24 hours and they all were faint! Went back and read the instructions and it said if there is a line then it's a positive!!  Haha, we were not expecting it to be positive, but very happy it was!
