We were suppose to go see my family this weekend...they live three and a half hours from here. Well everyone has colds and my nephews have pinkeye so we cancelled the trip. Next weekend we have plans and the following weekend Dh and DD might be taking a six hours trip for his grandfathers 80th birthday( I don't think I am going) . Is four weeks before pushing it or do you think I should just wait and see what I feel like?

Re: How late in your pregnancy would you travel?
My first question/concern would be - will you be near a good hospital the entire time and way? You're at the point where you could very well have the baby and at 4 weeks out I know my OB would not stop labor were I to go into it. As for the trip itself, if you're comfortable and you'll be able to stop every hour or two to walk around a bit then I'd go for it.
See how you feel, but I'd say you'd probably be fine.
I went to see my dad when he had surgery 4 hours away, about 3-4 weeks before I had R. I just had to stop a few times on the trip to get out and stretch, but other than that, I wasn't too worried about it.
I took a 3 hour flight when I was about 33 weeks, and then a 14 hour drive at around 35 weeks.
It sucked, I won't lie. But I managed.
I think you should do what you feel like doing.
I drove 5 hours away when I was 35 weeks with DD in the middle of the winter. We were never about 45 min from a hospital and I felt great, so I wasn't worried.
