Girls names.. which of these is best?

Which of these do you like the most? (Or if you don't like any of them, that's okay too)...

Miriam

Eleanor

Margot/Margo

We're not expecting yet, but we've been talking about starting a family. And DH and I have realized that we don't agree on girl names at all! Just curious what the opinions are on these three names.

I love all three and they are on my list of favourites (and wow, I never meet anyone else who loves Margot!). You will probably find that we are in the minority, however.

i like margot with a T, it's really pretty. miriam is cute, too, and eleanor is cute but too popular now.

Miriam is my favorite. It was a top contender for me (and if I ever have another girl, I'm going to push DH for it). I also really like Eleanor.

None of them are my style (they're a little too old fashioned for my taste) but, if I had to choose one, I guess I would pick Eleanor because of the nickname possibilities.

I love Margot, but my nemesis in grade school was named Margot so it's out for me.

Eleanor is nice, nn Ella is cute.

I don't like Miriam. I am Jewish and it just always sounds very orthodox to me.

If you must, I'd go with Eleanor. Miriam and Margot are just awful.

I like Eleanor and Miriam a lot. I don't like Margot/Margo...but I like Margaret, Margie and Marjorie. Are these three compiled by both you and DH? I think you're a lot closer to agreeing than a lot of couples on this board. It's not like you said: Hayden (contemporary), Eleanor (traditional) or Larysia (I name I think I just made up off the top of my head).
