Living Room=Baby Zone

We recently went to visit a couple that has a baby about a month older than DD. There house was immaculate and looked exactly like it did before baby except there was an exersaucer. Everything else was put away nicely.

It made me feel ashamed for my living room which has a jumper, saucer, playmat, tummytime mat, diapers/wipes basketful of toys and baby blankets. 

I try to tidy the house up and put them out of the way, but they are always there.

Please tell me I am not alone :(

    We are the same way.  We have a jumper, playmat, swing, bumbo, small toys (in a formerly decorative iron leaf bowl), and singing duck.  Also his diaper bag hangs near the front door on an amoire handle.  I think we are getting ready to put up the swing, but it will still be baby central.

    Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress.  Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage.  Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm.  27 days in the NICU.  Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely.  My tough little cookie.

    Yeah, I am normally one of those people who had everything put away so nicely... but this last couple months I gave up. We still have an area where most of the toys go, but its not worth the hassle to keep dragging them out all the time.

    We have a swing, jumperoo, basket of toys, playmat, bouncer, and blanket out. :::sigh:::

    Oh well. =)

    We only have a swing and basket w/wipes, diapers, etc out, but that's because the cat will pee on the bouncer and playmat if we leave it out.  I think hes jealous!

    Ours is totally a baby zone.  No matter how hard I try to keep it picked up, things are still sitting out.  Just tell yourself they picked up just because they knew they were having company.  I do that so people don't think we are heathens.
