Is there one brand that you only buy or do you buy whatever is on sale or cheapest? If there is only one brand you get, why do you choose it over others? How many diapers do you typically go through in a day or week? Thanks!
I only bought Pampers but then decided to try out what ever was on sale and have realized I only really like Pampers and Huggies...but am not stuck with a heap load of Luvs that I don't really want to use..
I got a bunch at my shower and I bought some as well. So far DS has managed to have blow outs in all of them, so I'm not sure the more expensive ones are any better than the less expensive ones. As far as quantity it all depends on the baby. We used about 10 diapers a day as a newborn, but DS only wore newborn sizes for 2.5 weeks. He outgrew the size 1 at around 8 weeks.
I have a boy and had been told by friends with boys that they only used Pampers...I used those and they were great--then I started using some Huggies and Parents' Choice that were given to me, and they were horrible--he leaked out of both. I heard Luvs are okay, but for now I'm sold on Pampers. I HATE huggies wipes--they were so thick and rough on Caden's butt. I returned them and got Pampers wipes

oh and we change caden's diaper about every 3 hrs or so during the day--we only change it once during the night so he won't get used to a dry diaper at night and wake up once he wets it. I'd say we go through a box (84-92 count) about every 10-14 days.

I can't stand Huggies. I like Pampers too but usually go with Luvs. I like the Luvs because they're thinner and don't seem so bulky. And we've never had any blowouts with them. Plus, they're always cheaper than Pampers!
I only use seventh generation because they don't have some of the chemicals that are in the other brands. Healthier for baby. In the beginning we were going through about 10-12 diapers a day because she would go right after I changed her. Now it's probably 7 diapers a day...maybe more.
Initially, we liked all brands except Huggies (Pampers, Luvs, Target, and Walmart). I won't try the Costco Kirkland brand because I hear they are the same as Huggies. Huggies suck. We eventually settled on the Target brand to save money (they are thinner than the Walmart brand, and similar to Luvs to me). DS manages to have blowouts with all brands now, so we moved him up to size 3 even though he's only around 14 lbs. We're going to try Pampers Cruisers next to see if those work. I've heard that different brands will work better for your LO at different stages, and you have to be open to try different diapers until you find something that works. We probably go through around 6-8 diapers a day.

Exactly the same for us.
