who has a co sleeper? I have a question

first of all, thanks in advance.... so my co sleeper is several inches lower than our bed (maybe our bed is higher than average, I have no idea).  Is it really going to be that big of a deal that he is a few inches lower than me in bed?  I kinda can't really justify spending $25 + shipping for leg extensions for a couple extra inches (I even looked for used ones).  Thanks!

Re: who has a co sleeper? I have a question

  • I wouldn't think so... our cradle that my grampa made us is lower then the bed, but we didn't really use it at all. Our cosleeper unit was in bed with us, and I only used that for a week with ds... he slept on our chest for the first 4 weeks, in our bed for one, and then in his crib since 5 weeks old. Good luck, I woudln't bother but that's just me...

  • Our cosleeper sits lower than our bed and it isnt an issue.
  • Ours is lower than our bed too. ?I think it's good because then there's a little barrier between her and us. ?Not that she can roll over yet, but if we're still using it when she can, then it will be good.

  • Ours is also a little lower than the bed. Our bed is really high though, so we did have to get leg extenders. But not the ones specifically made for the co-sleeper, since they're $$$$ and I hear they're unsteady. We just got cheap ones for regular beds at BB&B, and they work fine.
