I didn't see your OP on 3rd tri that started all this, so I will just comment in general. I agree that the vast majority of the "New mom here to answer your questions" posts come across as either arrogant or laughable. I've always had to bite my tongue.
The reason is because of the perceived tone of the post. "Perceived tone" being the key phrase. The well received posts seem to be the ones in which the new mom phrases it as "tips from someone who has just gone through it," "my initial impressions of parenthood," "things I wish someone had told me," or something of that sort.
The posts that are not well received are the ones where the new parent says "New mom here to answer all your questions." See how that can come across as arrogant? And for some reason, this seems to be the tone that is presented 95% of the time, which is why most people get flamed for these posts.

did you ever think that maybe it was "new mom here to answer your questions about l&d, pp, or caring for a 1 week old baby."
just sayin...
ETA: just becuase you have been through it before doesn't mean that everyone has, and some women like hearing the stories and any advice they can get.

Not flaming or anything, but I don't see how "New mom here to answer all your questions" comes off as arrogant. If I was still in third tri, I would most definitely open that post and see what I can learn. I definitely would NOT think "Damn, what an arrogant biitch wanting to answer my questions about motherhood". Again, not a flame, just my humble opinion.
Really??? how did you find that out? I forgot what her original screen name was.....
it was ddklar or something along those lines.
our resident snoop, kimL22, can have the credit for finding out who she really is. it had to do with her blog/myspace/FB/etc. she owned up to it a long time ago, only a few people still remember that particular "incident".:)

Bran - Thank you! I've been wondering that for a while - I knew someone figured that out a while ago but couldn't remember for sure it was her. Explains a lot.

Re: It doesn't pay to be nice
I'm not a fan of that first biznitch, so it's kind of par for the course.
