Need bf help. DD won't stay latched.

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months
She will latch and suck 3 times and then unlatches and start crying.  She's doing the same thing on both sides.  What should I do?

    Have you tried a breast shield? I never had to use one, but I hear they work wonders for people with latch issues. GL!

    Patience. Those first couple weeks can be so hard. DD had awful latching issues but I just kept at it. Eventually she stopped fighting me and got the hang of it. I would say just be patient and talk to your LC and get some of her advice.

    i;m having the same issue w/ds wh is also a week old.  i've used a breast shield and had lots of luck. it was the medela onefrom my LC.  keep trying. the first few weeks can be very trying but it will get easier!  (I bf my dd for 13 months)
