Babies: 0 - 3 Months

I just cried because I miss my newborn.

I was looking at pictures and - that baby is gone, you know?  I will never cuddle that little newborn baby, ever again.

OK I am going to cry again.  What is wrong with me?  Good Lord.

Wheee!

  • Just think about the son you are molding into a decent handsome man.

And now I'm going to tear up b/c I miss my baby, too.  I'm stuck with a fusspot right now.

  • You are having a rough day aren't you?  I saw a post from you earlier today about the first month flying by for you! I'm so sorry! It sucks but they have to grow up! Just try to live in the moment and enjoy your little boy :)
  • I am - I'm in a weird place today I don't know why.  Just really realizing how fast it is all going.  And I always thought the whole "don't grow up too fast" thing was just parents being weird - I never "got it" - until now.

I fall in love with my little guy more each day and he is AMAZING right now - "sings" all the time and laughs and is so beautiful.  I think that's part of it - I didn't know him all that well when he was a newborn - we had just met, you know?  And now that I know him - I want to hold him as a newborn again.  That sounds totally loony but maybe someone will understand what I mean.

    Wheee!

  • I understand.  I cried when DS moved out of newborn diapers.  Just try to enjoy the time with him now b/c in a few months you will be thinking about how you miss your 4 month old.
  • I understand what you mean! It's okay! I'm sure mostmoms feel the way you do! I'm jealous! I love my little boy but I want him to be able to show me with laughs and coos that he loves me too!
