QOTD -  What is your child into these days.  What really rocks his/her world!!

Re: ~*~*~SIF Weekly check in ~*~*~

  • My update - I started my gonal f shots last night.  I go back on Sunday for a follie check.  I must say that I had a bit of a cry last night after shooting up.  Just the unfairness of having to do this all again. IF friggin sucks.

QOTD -  What is your child into these days.  What really rocks his/her world!!

Trains - mainly Thomas the Tank engine but any old 'chooch' will do!

Frogs - but only the stuffed animal/pictured kind.  Thankfully he's freaked out by the live versions.

    Electric garage doors -  I got nuthin.  He's a boy (?)

    Have a great week !!!

  • I am going today for the HB ultrasound! I am pretty hopeful!

    QOTD

Nolan's world is spun by his dad! He lights up whenever he sees him! I was jealous, but it really is neat! He even has started calling for DADADADADA when in his crib.

  • We just suffered our third miscarriage last week. I am sad but hopeful since we actually got pregnant on our own. I did the RPL bloodwork through my OB and am awaiting the results. I also need to get a referral to go back to my RE and consult with him on everything that is going on. QOTW: My DS is SUPER into food! He is also into rolling around and scooting backwards. I think we will have a little crawler on our hands soon!!!
It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

  • I had my third beta on Wed and my progesterone is looking great now.  My beta didn't quite double from Monday though but it was so close and they said it was still great.  I have my first u/s next Wednesday...can't wait!  If we see a heartbeat I get to stop the estrogen pills and patches YEAH!  Then the plan is to start slowing weaning off the PIO shots and other progesteron starting week 7.  I can't wait to be off of it all!  Oh and I don't feel pregnant at all....I have to keep reminding myself that I really am :)

QOTD: The remote is her fav!  and the dogs toys of course because we always pull them away...

Daughter born July 2008; Daughter born March 2010 Son born August 2011
  • Update: Just waiting for my 8w u/s... I'm praying all is well- hopefully if we make it past this u/s, all should be well. 8w was when the baby stopped growing in my last pregnancy.

QOTD: Playing hide and seek- he LOVES it, and finally "gets it". Easter should be really fun this year, because he'll actually get a kick out of hunting eggs and his basket.

  • I'm about cd 26, 10 dpo, but this is my investigative cycle. We did have good bd timing and my cycle looked good, so RE prescribed prometrium for the 2nd half of this cycle, which I have been taking. Some cramps and sore boobs, but nothing else, and that's probably the progesterone. I will test on Tues. morning if no AF by then.

QOTD: He's really into cars and trains. And movies--his favs lately are Wall-E, Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo.

  • I'll give you all an update this afternoon after my appt.

QOTD -  What is your child into these days.  What really rocks his/her world!!

He is into figuring out new things and exploring!  So cute!  Until of course he sneaks into the cupboard and dumps 5 lbs of flour all over your kitchen... yeah not so cute!

  • Hi all, here is a little update from me. I finished my first round of clomid on april 4. i had my u/s on the 8th. my temps are slowing rising so i believe 'that i will O anyday day now. Hubby and I are BD'ing everyother day at this point cause i dont want to miss the open door. Hubby went for an u/s today and everything looks great from his end. so i am hoping to be in a 2ww soon with hopefully a BFP.

QOTD-My kids are into many things. with the weather so nice they would much rather be outside playing ball and riding their bikes.

  • I'm on cd 5, 2nd week of Met.  The s/e from the bump in Met dosage have not been so fun, but I'm starting to get used to it.  Other than that, I'm hopeful for my cycles to start becoming more regular, although I know that it'll take a few months.

QOTD:  Haley is into everything.  She loves to climb on furniture - any furniture.  She also loves her toothbrush and spoons from her kitchen playset.  I totally don't get the spoons, but she carries them around constantly.  :)  I think she likes chewing on her toothbrush bc her molars are coming in!

  • Since my SHG on Tuesday I'm just continuing with my BCP and waiting to start Lupron and estrace next week. I'm nervous and excited and can't believe I'm back doing all this again.

My boys are trying to walk, so they push everything all over the house - I'm constantly finding chairs, boxes, stools, and their push toys in the middle of the room, the middle of the hall, etc.  They also love to pull all the books out of their little bookshelf and throw them on the floor, and they love climbing - on the kitchen play set, the stove, the coffee table, anyplace that will give their mother a heart attack :-)

  • I would love to be added to your list.Wilted Flower

As for my DD, she is into saying "Nnnnnnno" and "Hiiiiii, (yournamehere)". It's adorable!! She also loves to eat by herself with her own Gerber fork. She's the love of our lives!

Oh, the big news is that DD is finally allowing me to start weaning her. She only BFs twice a day at this point, but I'm sure it's not helping my TTC issue. If I wasn't getting older and not in so much of a hurry to pop out a few more babies before my clock runs out of batteries, then I wouldn't rush it (you all probably scoff at that comment b/c she's older, but I tried to wean last month and she just wasn't havin' it. So this AM, I honestly forgot to BF her and she didn't miss it. Yay! Things are lookin' up!)

As for our SIF, I started Metformin again 2 weeks ago. Since I did, FF says I O'd like on day 27 (WTF?) and for the past 5 mos I have O'd exactly on day 19!? Soooo frustrated! DH and I did the "deed" every night for 6 days straight so as to be sure we surrounded day 19, and then FF says we O'd on 27. I can't even express my frustration right now. There's always next month, I guess (story of all of our lives, right?). And I'm increasing my Met to 1500mg tonight. I just wish things happen as WE plan them (LOL, and I'm the one who always tells everyone else that God has a plan for us, and everything happens for a reason). I'm wishing everyone luck this next cycle! I want to hear at least one more BFP!! Gives me hope! Have a great weekend, ladies!!!

  • I just had a U/S this morning to check my follicle sizes after taking Clomid.  They look good...measuring in on the right at 18, 17, and 15 and on the left at 15 and 7.  My lining also looks really good.  So now I am just going to check when I surge and then go in for an IUI, probably on Mon or Tues.  My RE said if no surge by Wed, he will trigger me.

QOTD:  My DS really likes cars, monster trucks, and trains.  He also gets very excited to watch planes take off/land.

  • hello everyone!  doing ok here...4 wks and 5 days here.  still crampy, but nothing worse than i was when i was pg with my ds.  we have our first u/s on wednesday to check for the sac and yok sac.  please keep your fingers crossed and prayers a comin' for us...i'm so nervous!  last beta and progesterone were "very good" according to the re's office,  but i still can't help feeling like the floor is going to collapse under us.

qotw:  my son is obsessed with any and all things disney...mickey, handy manny, little einstein's...you name it, he loves it.  of course, i can't complain...i'm sure he inherited his obsession with disney from his good ol' mama!

  • Update: CD 16 here (on clomid) and feeling like I'll be O'ing any day now.  Last cycle was around cd23-25 but I wasn't on meds.  So, we shall see if this cycle brings a BFP!

QOTD: DD is running around me in circles. She is FULL of energy these days!

  • Well, for me, this cycle was a bust.  We missed our 'window' this month.  That really bummed me out.  I feel each cycle missed is one closer to giving up point.  As I rocked my sweet little one the other night, I sat there thinking of how long we will persue the wish for another child. It just broke my heart thinking that I may never get the oppertunity to hold and rock my own newborn to sleep ever again, never to feel the movement of a new life in my belly.  I am not ready to give up on that, but the reality of my age, might make me.

At this point, if we get pg in the next few months, I would deliver before my 41st birthday.  I know that age is just a number, but when you add in all the risks, I get so scared.  We will revisit this in 3 months, but I am afraid if it doesn't happen in those 3 months, we are done.   I am incredibly depressed.  Although I am very happy for all those who reciently have gotten thier BFP's...each one posted brings me down even more.  I know you all know where I am coming from, and I am greatful for this forum to be able to vent, cry, swear, happy dance and cheer for one another.  I puffy heart you guys!!!!

QOTD -  What is your child into these days.  What really rocks his/her world.

She loves being outside.  She loves dancing and singing.  She really loves to draw and create things.

     She really ROCKS MY WORLD!!!!

  • Update: I went to a doc today for crampiness and possible bladder infection along with a really screwed up wonky cycle; just to find out we don't know the reason for the strange pain even after urinalysis, exam, etc. She did order me antibiotics though, and I go in Monday for a vaginal u/s to try to determine the reason for the pain.

BUT, I just casually mentioned that we've been ttc for over 16 months and it sparked a discussion about my trouble ttc, and she's willing to do fertility testing!!!! My regular OB has been standing her ground about waiting for one year from my miscarriage date (which would be almost 2 years total ttc) before doing anything, and I go to this lady and she really thinks we should start testing now. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! She already put in the order for dh's SA, I am so happy about this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here we were desperately trying to find a doc that will start testing and BOOM, out of nowhere and a casual mention that we have been ttc for 16 months and my m/c, and I find someone when I wasn't even expecting it! ROCK!

She said that she would clasify me as "sub-fertile" at this point, because I was ttc for almost a year before my miscarriage, and then 6 months after, with no luck and very good timing. I'm feeling so happy about this I finally feel like we are getting the ball moving and I don't have to struggle with it right now. And that if there is something wrong we can start sooner rather than later to fix the issue. I can't wait til I make my next appointment with her :)

(sorry girls, can you tell I'm excited about this? lol)

QOTD: DS is really into Blue's Clues. He also is counting everything in sight! lol  And now that the weather is getting warmer he's all about the parks! :)

I hope everyone has a very good Easter!!
