Was your pg planned?

My husband and I have had an insane preg history (repeated losses) and I was undecided on trying again. I stoped bc to see if my cycle was regular after having a grapefuit tumor remover from my uterus and got pg unplanned w these girls.

Ours was planned. My first was a blessing in disguise.

My best friend and her hubby were told after two years of trying that their best hope of having kids was to adopt. They ended up PG with twins 6 months after this news. They were very shocked and happy.

Nope this little boy was definitely not planned. I was on bc and had been taking it religiously, well FI came home after being gone for a few months and right after we had put all the deposits down for our wedding, I found out I was preg.

Yes. Since I am in grad school the summer was the only good time to have our next child because I did not have to take classes in the summer. So luckily things really worked out, the day we decided to try again was right in the middle of my cycle so I got pregnant right away and due in June which worked out great. DS was also planned.

That happened to a friend of mine - she had been told bc of her tumor she couldn't have kids, and surprise! She was pregnant shortly after getting married. Congrats - I know it can be difficult in that type of situation and even more exciting to find out about pg!

DH and I were trying. We wanted to have the baby towards the end of the school year so I could have all summer with baby. We're due a few days after the year ends, which couldn't have worked out any better bc I won't have to take any time off work and get to keep all my sick days!

Not really planned, but not prevented. I was a little upset about my EDD for about 2 minutes, just because I work in education. But, it's all working out, and we're happy.

Sort of planned. I was told by?multiple?doctors that I would have a hard time getting pregnant if I could at all, so we decided to not not try and just see what would happen. Turns out prayer is stronger than?medicine. We got pregnant with this one the second month we were watching my cycle.?

Both of mine were planned. The first i had taken a test and it said neg, so we were like whatever its not right time so i started BC 6 weeks later i was having symptoms and turned out first test was a lie and i was 8 weeks pg. The second i got off BC and with in a month was pg again.

Aww that's awesome!!!

Ours was not planned at all. We are pretty sure we got pregnant earlier in the day we found out that DH's grandmother passed away...So we've taken to "blaming" grandma! We actually found out that we were pregnant 1 week after moving into our new house... I thought I was late due to nerves and when it still wasn't coming I took a test TOTALLY thinking it was gonna come like the day after and lo and behold there was the BFP!

Planned...we were very lucky and it happened very fast for us after we started trying (maybe my 2nd cycle). I think my lucky stars that my OB listened to my concerns...I went in for my annual checkup in June, and let her know that we wanted to start trying in July. I had been tracking my irregular cycles for a year and a half and showed it to her. Thanks to that, she ordered some blood tests and I ended up having an MRI done to see that I had elevated Prolactin levels, so they put me on medicine to lower them. I got pregnant on the first cycle after starting the medicine...had she not taken my concern seriously and ordered the tests, we'd probably still be trying because it's nearly impossible to get pregnant with the Prolactin levels that I had!

Like a pp said.. unplanned but not prevented either..my bc was up and i couldnt get into a gyn for an appointment and were like well if it happens it happens and that 1st month off bc it happened!

Oh my yes, this little boy was planned. It took a year of trying, seven months of Metformin, and two rounds of Clomid (and I feel extremely fortunate that's all it took). That is so fun that you got a double surprise! I'm hoping that pregnancy will help straighten out my wonky hormones and I will hopefully be able to get pregnant without pharmaceutical intervention next time. I'm prepared for the long haul, though.

Planned. We TTC for almost two years and had been seeing a fertility specialist for a year and a half. I got pg on a natural cycle a few months after having a laparoscopy.

Our pregnancy was planned. We stopped taking BC in May of 2008. At first my cycles were so irregular (really, really long!) but we finally managed to get pregnant once they became a little more regular last fall.

Like others, not planned but not prevented. I went off BC and we had an "if it happens, it happens" approach. Definitely took a lot less time than DH and I thought it would!

Ditto. I stopped taking the pill one cycle before we conceived, but we weren't actively trying as in - charting, OPKs, scheduling sex, anything like that. The plan was to stop taking the pill and if nothing happened in 6 months or so, we'd actively TTC.

Yep, both were. It annoys me when people assume our 2nd was a mistake b/c we have them so close together....

Planned. We had been trying for 10 months when we were blessed with our BFP. We had just finished our diagnostic testing with a RE and found out that my DH had low count. We would have been moving forward with an IUI once the year mark had passed. I got pregnant during my HSG cycle.

I'm still so extremely thankful.
