the most important the couple days before I ovulate:
Me: We need to make sure we have sex as much as we can this week so your sperm can be waiting for my egg.
DH: Really? So they are like the walmart greeters in your tubes?
Me: Well, yes, but hopefully less retarded.
lmao
That was bad I know, but take it for what it is.
Re: DH on why sex is...
to much?
thats what I thought...
Not at all. ?More the use of retarded. ?That's all. ??
yeah, but I meant it in a "larry the cable guy" kind of way.
I know, and that's sort of the problem. ??
touche
"Glitter Siggy here" now THAT right there is funny, I don't care who you are....
I think you are stupid on many levels.
I wasn't going for anything but surface funny, I think that took it to a whole other level.
Real funny until it is your child, sibling or loved one. You have no idea how funny it is to explain to a child the reason people like you laugh at them. It is real funny that people diagnosed with MR can not function to the full extent as a normal human. Real funny. So funny I forgot to laugh.
me? Retarded is an official term, my brother is retarded so I feel as though I have a special right almost to use it. Just to compare, I meant it as though someone calls someone white instead of caucasian. (sp) Nothing terrible.
This.
And...um... MR is not funny...ever. While a sense of humor is crucial in order to survive life and its many difficulties, blatantly exploiting conditions such as MR for a temporary chuckle, is low.
ETA: Forgot to quote I guess. "This" was referring to Glitter Siggy.
SERIOUSLY? WTF So just because someone works at Walmart they are retarded? You and your DH just throw that word around like its nothing? Both of you are pathetic.
I agree that you took this thread to a WHOLE new level.
WOW, this chick took this to a whole new level that I was never going for. I would never be like that. I feel really bad that she actually likes my thread for the wrong reasons.
Throwing around the word "retarded" isn't funny. BUT I can understand what you meant by "Larry the Cable Guy" type person. Retarded was just the wrong word to use here.
Idea of the original comment= funny
Delivery= not so funny
***** This comes to you from some one who works w/ MR/MI/DD population.
I seriously could punch you right now. You as a sister to a person with who is MR should fuking know better. My brother is classified as MR, autistic, bipolar, and several other medical problems and I have NEVER felt that I had a right. You are seriously screwed in the head to feel you have a right to anything. Your BROTHER deserves a better sister and advocate for him.
ABC- no I didnt mean to seriously say retarded people are stupid or for that matter gay people are stupid. I do joke around though. I don't associate the word retarded with people who might really be handicaped. It is a term I use for stupid people, not people who are handicaped. As for gay people, joking is fine, I would never judge a person for being gay. Why did this post get taken so far out of context? I never meant it like that.
Just diggin' a little deeper aren't ya? Hole not deep enough yet?
I may be over sensitive. It is because I have held my brother down so he could sleep, because of people like you. Have you ever had to explain to a person why they will never fit in? You can go fukc yourself now.
Wallace is far, far out of line. My dad is disabled and NEEDS closer parking. I find no humor in you at all.
nvladen...use better words next time. Live and learn. It's not like she went up to a person who is MR and kicked them. Accept this as a learning moment and move on.
point taken. thank you. it was just a misunderstnding.
I was pretty much ignoring the original post at first. Some people don't find the term offensive. I get that. It's the "special right" comment that's gone a bit too far.
NMA is on the perma-douche list. Survival of the fittest? Really?
And NL, you're teetering on the edge. You should know better, especially if you have a brother who is DD.
Where's the tool belt??
I agree. I also work with elementary kiddos with these disabilities and when you see other kids, teachers, adults in the building laughing at / making fun of them it's heartbreaking.
