Boo pink eye ??

During our second week of day care, DD has caught pink eye (from the caregiver's son).  She started antibiotics Thursday night, and her eyes still look awful.  They're less swollen, but still gunky and red (not the eye itself, but around it).  How long does it usually take to clear up?  It was pretty bad to begin with...

    it is so awfull...as an adult i used to get it and it hurts...poor baby.. it can take about a week...i hope she feels better soon, and try to just keep everyone washing their hands ALOT b/c it is very catchy...hope she gets better soon :)

    I'm sorry Sad DD got pink eye last weekend. The drops cleared her up in 2 days. We sanitized all her toys and the whole house. DH and I did not get it. whew!  Hopefully your DD will be fine soon.

    Oh no!! Is she on oral antibiotics? Ryan was on the eye drops and it was completely gone in 3 days. They started to look better after 2 rounds of drops, so 24 hours later.

    Poor Ruari! And wash your hands and clean all her toys- I ended up coming down with it too. Although it was 2 weeks later so I'm not sure I "caught" it from him, it may just have been part of the virus we both had.

    Is she taking the antibiotic eye drops? That's what Alex got and it cleared up within 24hrs, although we caught his at the beginning. I'd go back to the pedi or at least call, as this doesn't sound right...should have cleared up by now.
