So I called 2 days ago my pedi's office to ask if I could give ds anything else for his teeth--hes been crying after biting on his hands and very fussy. i asked if motrin was ok and she said yes. well it worked better and I gave it to him 4 times over the course of 2 days. well I checked ds's temp tonight bc he was really fussy and he has 100.7, so I called the doc. He said it may be related to teething, but keep an eye on him and btw we recommend motrin for babies over 6 mos. so I told him his nurse said it was ok and he said he'd talk to her, but its not a big deal its not going to harm him but fyi for next time use tylenol until 6 mos.
Stupid nurse.
Re: stupid nurse
That sucks! I am sure your baby is okay but you want to do what is best and you are supposed to be able to trust the nurses!
We have had a nurse at our dr.'s office tell us two things the docs didn't like. I think we are done with the nurse hotline!
my pedi is very cautious so maybe 6 mos is his view. But still this was his private nurse, she only works with him. She should convey what he beleives.
we were told tylenol only till 6 months.
good luck.
