I will be having probably a few! I know some of my sorority sisters are going to put a small one together, but then i'll probably have another one with other friends of mine (possibly a joint shower because one friend and I have the exact same due date & group of friends

Probably not, or at least I don't expect one with this being the second child. But that would be up to my family. I think it would be more likely if this is going to be a boy though.

I'll definitely have at least one, but probably 2. I'll probalby have one back where most of my family lives (2 hrs west) and then one here where I live for all my church ladies, co-workers, and friends here.

I love all kinds of things like this (although I do agree, it is sort of wierd to be the center of attention), so I've been super anxious to start registering and planning! Yeah!

My best friend is already asking me about this, which I thought was really odd...I'll likely have a ladies only brunch (thrown by my BFF and mom) and then something small at work.

I'm probably going to have at least one baby shower since this is my first child. Lots of excited people waiting for the baby.

QOTD: I am pretty sure one of my friends is throwing me one. I have a new husband and this will be our first together and my youngest will be 7 so we have nothing for the baby. We are thinking low key bbq with friends really.

No baby shower for us. I just had one last year. ha ha ha.

Hi Ladies!

I am guessing I will have two baby showers, one at work and one with friends and family. That was actually the first thing my sister wanted to start planning when she found out I was pregnant!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, we are supposed to get a ton of snow dumped on us here in good ol' Colorado!

Ugh. Probably. I'm so anti-shower - I freaking hate them. I managed to get out of having a bridal shower, but I don't think I'll be able to get out of having a baby shower.

The thought of having more than a hundred women who I barely know in a room watching me unwrap gifts that they felt obligated to buy me.... ugh. If it was just close friends and family - that would be different. But if we do one, we'll have to have *everyone* from my in-laws' side which is basically the entire Indian community - whom I've met only a handful of times.

I'm hoping to get out of it, but DH thinks I should just suck it up. Easy for him to say - he doesn't have to go!

Honestly, I'd rather just buy everything we need ourselves, and go out for lunch with close friends and family instead - not a shower, just a get together to spend time together. No gifts, no formality, no shower games!
