QOTD: I will probably have one b/c my bff and mom will want me to have one. I don't really like being the center of attention like that and feel awkward in those situations (I hated my bridal shower!!), but I will do it to appease family!
I don't think so since I just had three of them a year ago. One of my friends mentioned that a few of my close girlfriends might get together and have a diaper shower or something. I have a lot of what I need besides girl clothes (if it is a girl). We'll see.

QOTD: My sisters are actually fighting over when to throw the shower! One wants it in August since she leaves for college in September, one wants October since August is "way to early!" Apparently I get no say in this! When I requested no stupid baby shower games, they both laughed at me!
We will definitely NOT be having a shower. This is my 3rd DC and 2nd in under 2 years.
I will be "registering" but only for myself. I want the completeion discount at the end and I want a way to keep a list of the things we need for the new baby.

I know I will have a couple. As my mom said, we can have one in August, one in Sept, one in Oct and baby in November. My co-workers already told me they are having one. I am guessing I will end up having 3.

I suspect I will have one thrown for me, though I have to say I haven't even come close to thinking about this sort of thing yet.

My hopes - several smaller ones as opposed to 1-2 bigger ones. I have a HUGE family, lots of friends and about 20 female co-workers who I am close to. I hear plans are already in the works.
I am not that close with a group of my DH's friends so I would feel uncomfortable inviting the women to a shower with my family but we want to awknowledge so what we have decided to do is have a baby blessing at our house for all of those friends (no gifts). Just a BBQ or something.
We will probably not be having a shower either since this is my second little one.
I do like the idea of regestering as a way to keep track of everything we need though! And I'm sure there will be friends/family who want to pick up gifts even though we aren't having a formal shower. Great idea!
Hope everybody is having a good Friday! I know I am! I had my second ultrasound today and the baby looks perfect. Measuring right on track.
QOTD- I will absolutely be having a baby shower. More than one i'm sure! DH and i both have huge families with both of our parents being divorced and remarried. For our wedding there were 2 showers plus a bbq that his grandmothers friends from church gave us. I just hope there are no silly games. NMS at all.
I think I'll have maybe 2 showers. One at work (the standard) and one with family and friends. I can't even imagine what my mom, sister, and friends are going to come up with. They are all pretty darn crafty
) I can't wait to register! And considering this is our first baby, we need pretty much everything and having a shower definitely helps!

QOTD: I will not have a baby shower. We are Jewish and typically Jewish people do not have showers or purchase much for the baby until the baby is born. I do plan to have an Open House type event after the baby is born though.

I don't think so. This is my third and DD will only be 2.5 when the baby is born. I did have a shower with my second, but the first two were 10 years apart and it was the first baby for MH.
We might have a no gifts open house or something after the baby is born so that this baby gets celebrated too. We'll see...

I don't know. This is my third child and I already have a boy and a girl who were born around the same time of year, so the new baby will be using a lot of hand-me-downs. If someone wants to throw me one that's fine (although I don't like being the center of attention!), but if not that's fine too!

QOTD: I am having a baby shower because it has been almost 6 years since DD was born and I have absolutley no baby stuff to hand down. I do know that this time I want my baby shower to be VERY different. I have banned Winnie the Pooh and all Cartoon Character themes. I did that to death with DD and this time I want my shower to be very chic. My best friend (she's throwing it) came up with A Star is Born if it's a girl (a brunch type menu) and Daddy's Lil Giant (DH is a Giants fan) if it's a boy (tailgating type menu).

I know the ladies at my mom's work will throw her a grandma shower, too. They did this for a teacher a few years ago. She'll love it! ?
