low progesterone question?

If you have low progesterone one cycle, will you have low progesterone the next cycle?  Any experience with this??

Re: low progesterone question?

  • not necessarily. You could have different levels depending on the quality of your ovulation, ect. If it is low, your Dr. may want you to be on progesterone supps. to get and stay pregnant.

  • It depends.  Like FTG said it can sometimes be an indicator of a poor ovulation and the next month might be fabulous.  Other times though it could be a sign of a weak luteal stage.  What did your doc think it meant?

  • Ditto the other ladies - not necessarily.

I don't O on my own so the only thing I have to go by are my clomid cycles.  One cycle I had a .9 at my CD21 b/w and the very next one I had a 53.  For my doc, anything over 6 is likely that you O'ed.  The higer the number the stronger the O.
