Sharp throbbing pain in left arm?

all i am doing is sitting here on the couch typing, and i started noticing that my left hand started throbbing. then it slowly shot up to my elbow.

its like a numbing sharp pain...thats the only way i know how to describe it. i can still use my left hand, but it hurts to type, and its almost like i have to think about it a little bit, and its moving a little slow.

can you help diagnose me?

Pain in the left arm = call the doc to me. Probably nothing but it doesn't hurt to be safe.
