Possible stupid OPK question...

Forgive me...this is my first cycle on clomid and using opk.

I'm using digitals every day around 3:00.  Started on CD 12.  No :) yet.  I have been using regular opk at night also (overkill I know) every night starting CD 13.  No surge.  Should the lines on the regular ones be getting darker as I get closer to O?  They are not, and it has me worried.  NP does not do an u/s first cycle, but will start at the beginning of next.

If I'm being crazy...feel free to tell me.  :)

  • Yes, sorry, I post both places! I have had 3m/c's so I fit in very well over there at some times, but we have been ttc since aug 2006 so I also fit in over here too. I hope my answer over there will help you some!

  • I have heard both theories...the OPK can get darker the closer to O you get, or you could have a random positive after continuous negatives (that look the same). WIth that said, I have never seemed to catch a +OPK, so I can't tell you anything based on experience...just what I've read/heard.  Basically, an OPK can follow any pattern or no pattern at all.
