swaddling...

DS broke out of his swaddle last night and was crying,  I went in to check on him and he had the blanket 1/2 over his face. I was only able to find small swaddle me's at the store today so I couldn't get him one. We've been using blankets and never had a problem till last night. I don't want DS to be swaddled until we have something that I feel he can't break out of. DH said that DS will be fine tonight if we swaddle him, he just didn't do a good enough job last night and that is how he got out. I keep telling DH I don't want to swaddle him tonight because I'm going to worry all night but DH is saying I'm being silly. who's right/?

    im not going to take sides.. but i will say that we use miracle blankets and i love them.. i dont really care for my swaddle me blanket.. I would say if he is waking up crying from it then its ok.. but SIDS scares the *** out of me.. so you are both right??!!

    Oh, that's scary - DS has started pulling all blankets over his face too and I swaddle him very tight with a big blanket (aden + anais) and that works for now. Could you just swaddle his legs tonight - that may keep him from startling himself but would keep the blanket away from his face? gl
