Where does your lo nap?

Same place as at night or not? Cam sleeps in his crib at night but for naps I put him in the pnp (in the living room) or on the couch. He is asleep in my arms but as soon as I put him down he wakes up! I am thinking about starting to put him in his crib for naps but a friend of mine said she does not do that b/c she wants her lo to know the crib is for when its time to go to bed at night? Thoughts???

I just posted this somewhere else on this board, but I used to have a similar problem - DS would only catnap and I would have to rock him to sleep. Major PITA.

I decided it was going to change. One day, when I knew he was tired/ready for a nap (about 90 mins. after he woke up for the day), I swaddled him and put him in his bassinet (where he had been sleeping at night), awake but "drowsy." He slept for 2 hours! The next nap of the day was for three hours! I figured out why my baby was always so grumpy; he was exhausted!

So, long story short: put him down to nap drowsy where he sleeps at night. You will be AMAZED!

DS naps on me. He just started napping in his swing, but he sleeps longer and better if he's on me. I usually have him in the moby so I'm not tied down when he is sleeping. Once he is 3 months or shows signs of not wanting to be held all the time (he is a little bit now), we'll be transitioning to the crib for naps.
