It sounds like Elena is the only BIG girl of the bunch! So funny because she started low on the growth charts but keeps going up. She is 3.5 yrs now, but she is solidly in 4Ts, some 5s, and I've started shopping some in the girls department instead of just the toddler section where she fits in the extra-smalls.
But for pants I have NO clue how to fit her. She has a couple pairs which we make her wear at times, but we're always showing major crackage whenever I try to put them on. Since she chooses to wear dresses every moment she can, though, I don't stress too much.
On the other hand, Julia is a shrimp and growing nowhere fast. Her 15-month little self fits in clothes labeled from 6 months up to a few 18 months. No wonder her closet is filled to the rafters -- nothing ever gets too small!
my poor Addie has been sick now for a few days. She's got a clear runny nose, cough and fever. (she even says "cough cough" after she coughs for real). but what's grossing me out is her hair keeps getting stuck in her runny nose. I have pulled out so many knots from boogers, but she won't keep a bow in to hold it back. ew.

Avery is a big girl as well...we are doing 2T now and she's only 19 months. Granted, some of it is a bit big, but better than squeezing her into something too small.

ugh, we went through the exact same thing 2 weeks ago. M's hair would be stuck to her cheek because of snot, yuck. I hope A feels better soon!

truitt has the same thing. his is all that allergy stuff. even with the meds he's on, the cough still pops up (tho not as bead). his hair doesn't get caught in it (although he has as much hair as some girls. lol) but he wipes with his hand and then it all dries and he has crust all over his face. if we are somewhere like the park, the crust turns black. it's so gross. wipes won't get it off either. it has to be hot water. ick.
Ugh, K's party invitations (or "levitations" as she calls them) are becoming a royal thorn in my SIDE. Why did I ever think it was reasonable to take on such a task.
I have got to get them out like ASAP and still have 2/3 of them to finish.
DH was sweet and totally helped me make 20 last night.

That was sweet of him. I bet they are going to be great. What kind of party are you having this year?

Jakob is in 2T also, the pants are still long (without shoes we have to roll them up a bit so he doesn't trip) but the waist fits better. He's been wearing 2T shirts since 1 year, I'd also rather he wear something a little more roomy than something that is too small.

It's Mad Hatter's Tea Party themed. Y'all invite will be coming....I am about 2/3 through with them. I have elicited help from DH the last 3 nights in a row. Who wouldn't thought what a good glitter-er he was! LOL

poor addie is so sick she had to miss the easter party again this year. last year we were in lafayette at the hospital with matt. they always have a lot of fun searching for eggs, and this year the easter bunny was coming. i think i'm more dissapointed then her.
but if she's still sick tomorrow i'll be able to go to the foodie gtg since we won't be able to go to her friends b day party.

i have a friend who has a little girl T's age. her daughter dresses cute but pretty basic from day to day- cute capris with tshirts from gymboree or gap style stuff. however, everyday Kellen has at least one bow in her hair, often 2 or even 3. it surprises me almost since my friend is not fussy at all... i just always guess it must be a girl thing.
Like these.....cute girl, cute outfit, but the bows look like they weigh more than her head. I could never get K to wear bows that big even if I tried.

i have a friend who puts bows like that in her daughter's hair. it's a little out of control. one day she had this flower type barrette, looked more like those mums you guys have for homecoming. it was bigger than her head and looked like she was wearing a ruffly hat. just too much, imo.
Jacob has me so spoiled. He has been the easiest baby - well, not the past few nights. He's teething and he's miserable. Which makes mommy miserable as well
What the? I wonder if they actually sell any. That's about the most stupid baby product ever. Making your daughter feel inadequate--you can never start too soon!!

My random thought for the day:

I'm sorry Addie is sick
So, I'm reading through my baby book (my mom sent it to me so I could compare it to Tracey). About my first solid foods:
"melrrrhas gnawed on chicken bones..."
huh?
One DH+Glitter sounds like a good time!
Chicken bones...haha
This was on page six or some thing but I had something random to say.
I don't get giant bows on baby girls. You know the headband with a bow bigger than the babies head.
The little clip on bows are sweet but the big bows are over kill to me.
From a person who does like bows....I don't at all like the dis-proportionally LARGE ones that are bigger than the kids heads.
Like these.....cute girl, cute outfit, but the bows look like they weigh more than her head. I could never get K to wear bows that big even if I tried.
Big ol' bows bother me too, I think they're ugly. Especially on babies.
You mean you don't like this...
I just saw this on chron.com. That poor baby looks ridiculous:

Really how is this a good idea? Just so tacky.
Hmmm, no wonder I didn't get any compliments on my siggie pic last spring of Julia:
6-yr-old Elena and 4-yr-old Julia.

No worries! I mean, I did put a HUMONGOUS flower on my child's head AND put her in a pot I purchased just for that purpose!
I try to explain that I'm channeling Anne Geddes, but, um, I think I'm probably just krazee!

Julia is still precious....shoot, she'd still look adorable wearing a garbage bag!
She's a doll!
The difference is... you did that for a cute picture. Not just a random everyday outing.
We did bows when K was smaller... but never ones that were HUGE. hehe
Have ya'll seen these?

now THAT is ridiculous.
FAKE HAIR FOR BABIES?!?!?! That is absolutely BEYOND odd!!!!!!!!!

Amen.
