Does anyone have one of those forehead/neck thermometers?

I'm talking about the ones that you practically get an instant read with. I'm a teacher and our school nurse checked me for a fever once with it. I'm wondering how accurate they are. I've had to take DS's temperature several times over the last few days and he was fine at first, but is not happy about it now, which makes it difficult to take his temperature. I've tried using his armpit, but I feel like that's not really accurate. If you have one you like, can you tell me which one it is?

FIL has one and it seems pretty accurate to me. DH and I bought a different one and it was not accurate. When we were playing with it, it gave us a different reading each time. I think FIL has the one from Burlington Coat Factory. We tried the one from Wal-mart.

We have the temperal one for the forehead, it's pretty accurate. but if you ever have to take a temp for the pedi you will have to do it rectally.

We have an Exergen temporal thermometer and LOVE it. Its incredibly accurate ... much more so than the ear thermometer that we used to have. I've tested the accuracy a few times on myself by taking my temperature orally and then with the Exergen and the Exergen is always spot on. I'd highly recommend it!

We have a temporal thermometer for DS and I like it. Honestly, though, I get temps all over the place sometimes.I usually go with the highest (especially if I've gotten that reading a few times). Embarrassed
